On Monday, May 6, Mentor Library (http://www.mentorpl.org/) will be joining CLEVNET. This means any CLEVNET card holder can now borrow, pick up, and return items at Mentor Library in addition to the current 45 CLEVNET library systems.
On Monday, September 24th, Morley Library (https://www.morleylibrary.org/) will be joining CLEVNET. This means any CLEVNET cardholder can now borrow, pick up, and return items at Morley Library in addition to the current 44 CLEVNET library systems.
CLEVNET will implement automatic renewals of physical materials starting with items due on April 2nd. We hope this new service will be more convenient and potentially reduce overdue fines.
How will automatic renewals work?
The system will attempt to automatically renew materials one day before an item is due.
Materials CANNOT be renewed if:
Someone else has placed a hold on the item.
The item has reached its renewal limit (renewal limits vary by library system).
Your account is blocked due to excess fines or fees.
If an item CANNOT be renewed, you will receive a courtesy due soon notice (via PHONE, EMAIL, or SMS Text) the evening before your materials are due.
Please note: This service does not apply to digital materials (i.e. Overdrive), only physical materials.
This shouldn’t affect you at all. It is possible that this change might result in our email to you being flagged as spam. If, after April 2, you are not seeing emails from netnotice@clevnet.org please check your spam filters and adjust them accordingly.
On Tuesday, May 30th, Rocky River Public Library (http://www.rrpl.org/) will be joining CLEVNET. This means any CLEVNET card holder can now borrow, pick up, and return items at the Rocky River Public Library public in addition to the current 43 Clevnet library systems.
With the recent catalog upgrade, you can now see when items are placed in transit to fill your hold. The catalog will display a truck icon, indicating your item is in delivery. To see your holds, please log in, click on “My Account”, then click on the “Holds” tab.
The screenshot below demonstrates this new feature:
On June 14th the CLEVNET catalog is changing. The software powering the search is changing from Bibliocommons to Enterprise. There are a few reasons for this change. The most important of which is that the new catalog will have a much deeper integration with our eMedia offerings such as OverDrive and Hoopla. These integrations will allow you to download your materials directly from the catalog as well as manage your electronic checkouts.
As June 14th approaches we will be posting more information about the changes and enhancements for our new catalog.
If you are trying to log in and you find that you can’t, try entering the letters in your password as uppercase. Once you have logged in you can change your password back to the original case. To do that go to “My Account” and then click on the “Personal Information” tab. Then look for the “Change PIN/Password” link. Select that and then fill out the PIN information.
To use any of the resources at clevnet.overdrvive.com you to will need to use a password in addition to your library barcode. If you’ve forgotten your password you can reset it by using our “Forgot Your Password” page. After you have entered your library barcode, reset instructions will be sent to the email address we have on file.
Why are we making this change?
Security. Requiring a password, in addition to your barcode will make your account safer.
